KazMunayGas published its 2023 Sustainable Development Report

KazMunayGas annually publishes its Sustainable Development Report, which informs about the Company's progress under the United Nations Global Compact and the Company's progress in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals.

In May this year, KMG Board of Directors approved the verified 2023 Sustainable Development Report. The Report was prepared in accordance with the updated GRI Standards 2021 – international sustainability reporting standards – and passed the procedure of independent confirmation by an audit company.

KMG's sustainable business model is based on ESG-aspects - environmental responsibility, social support and effective management of corporate behaviour. In today's world, ESG-indicators are becoming increasingly vital for the success of companies in all industries.

The concept of “ESG-CODE” Report reflects this new reality as it presents ESG principles not just as a set of external requirements, but as a fundamental part of a Company's DNA.

The Report discloses key indicators of economic, environmental and social performance for the period from 2021 to 2023 and includes information about activities on material aspects of sustainable development: air and water protection, industrial safety and labour protection, environmental protection, human resources development, and interaction with local communities.

We understand the importance of our stakeholders' interests and we annually monitor the feedback to the Report. This practice helps us to improve the content of our Report and to raise awareness of the Company's sustainable development issues among the employees and other stakeholders.
