Current status
On 1 November 2023, a Joint Venture Agreement was signed between the Project participants. On 2 February 2024, the law on Intergovernmental Agreement ratification was signed. Currently, amendments to the electricity procurement agreement and participation in the Project Company are discussed

Construction and operation of hybrid power plants using wind energy, with a total capacity of approximately 1 GW with phased commissioning, and by using the battery energy storage system with a capacity of 300 MW/600 MWh, for the production of electricity and offset units under the KMG Low-Carbon Development Program.

Project prerequisites:

- On 28 October 2021, the RK Ministry of Energy (ME), Total Eren (TE), the Fund and KMG signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Mirny project.

- On 30 November 2022, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the French Republic signed a Special Agreement (IGA) on cooperation in combating global warming (ratification required).

- On 29 April 2023, the USD 39.91/MWh tariff was approved by the RK Minister of Energy (minutes No. ПР-84 d 2 May 2023)
